Roses are one of the most popular and loved flowers worldwide. Known for their beauty and fragrance, they are widely grown for decoration, perfume, and commercial purposes.
– Ideal temperature: 15°C to 28°C – Require plenty of sunlight (6–8 hours daily) – Avoid extreme heat and frost
– Best soil: Loamy soil rich in organic matter – Ideal pH: 6.0 to 7.5 – Mix compost or manure before planting
– Stem cuttings (most common) – Budding and grafting – Seeds (less preferred)
– Dig a hole about 1–2 feet deep – Place the plant carefully – Fill with soil and compost mixture – Water immediately after planting
– Water regularly but avoid overwatering – Keep soil moist, not soggy – Early morning watering is best
– Use organic manure or balanced fertilizer – Apply every 2–3 week – Nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium are essential nutrient
– Prune regularly to remove dead or weak branche – Helps in better growth and flowering – Ensure proper air circulation
