Mango grows best in tropical and subtropical climates. Temperature range: 24°C to 30°C is ideal.
Well-drained sandy loam soil is perfect. Soil pH should be between 5.5 to 7.5.
Choose high-yield varieties like: • Alphonso • Dasheri • Langra • Kesar
Mango is mainly propagated through: • Grafting (best method) • Seed (less common)
Best planting season: • June to July (monsoon season) Spacing: 8–10 meters between plants
• Young plants need regular watering • Mature trees require watering during flowering and fruiting stages Avoid waterlogging
Apply organic manure and fertilizers: • Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium (NPK) • Farmyard manure improves soil fertility
• Remove dead and diseased branches • Maintain proper tree shape • Control weeds regularly
Common pests: • Mango hopper • Fruit fly Use organic pesticides or neem oil for control
• Mango trees start fruiting in 3–5 years • Harvest when fruits change color and mature properly
