Capsicum Farming Guide for High Yield 

Capsicum (bell pepper) is a high-value vegetable grown in green, red, and yellow varieties. It’s popular in markets and offers great profits for farmers.

Introduction 

– Best temperature: 20°C to 30°C  – Requires moderate climate  – Avoid extreme heat and frost Perfect for winter and early summer cultivation.

Ideal Climate 

– Well-drained loamy soil is ideal  – Soil pH: 6.0 to 6.8  – Rich in organic matter Good soil ensures better fruit quality and yield.

– California Wonder  – Indra  – Bharat  – Bomby Choose hybrid varieties for higher productivity. 

Popular Varieties 

– Sow seeds in nursery beds or trays  – Use treated seeds for disease prevention  – Seedlings ready in 25–30 days 

Nursery Preparation 

– Spacing: 45 cm × 45 cm  – Transplant healthy seedlings  – Best time: Evening or cloudy day Ensures better plant survival.

Transplanting  

– Regular watering is important  – Avoid waterlogging  – Drip irrigation is ideal Maintains proper moisture levels.

Irrigation
