Coriander Cultivation Guide 

Coriander, also known as cilantro or dhania, is a fast-growing herb widely used in cooking. It’s easy to grow and perfect for both beginners and farmers.

Introduction 

– Prefers cool and dry weather  – Ideal temperature: 15°C–25°C  – Avoid extreme heat and heavy frost

Climate Requirement 

– Well-drained loamy soil is best  – Soil pH: 6.2 to 6.8  – Add compost or organic manure for better yield

Soil Preparation 

– Use good-quality seeds  – Crush seeds slightly before sowing  – Sow directly in soil, 1–2 cm deep  – Spacing: 20–25 cm between rows 

Seed Selection & Sowing 

– – Light watering after sowing  – Keep soil moist, not waterlogged  – Water every 7–10 days depending on weather  

Irrigation 

– Apply organic manure before sowing  – Use nitrogen-rich fertilizer for leafy growth  – Avoid excessive chemical fertilizers 

Fertilizer Use 

– Remove weeds regularly  – Common pests: aphids, mites  – Use neem oil or organic sprays for control 

Weed & Pest Control 

– Leaves ready in 30–40 days  – Seeds ready in 90–110 days  – Cut leaves gently for regrowth 

Harvesting 

– Quick growing crop  – High market demand  – Can be grown in pots, gardens, or fields
