Mohali DC Urges Farmers to Bring Only Dry Paddy to Mandis
Mohali Deputy Commissioner (DC) Komal Mittal has appealed to farmers and commission agents to bring only dry paddy to the mandis during the upcoming procurement season. The DC said that the timely arrival of dry crop will ensure smooth procurement and help in releasing payments without delay.
Paddy Procurement Season in Mohali
The paddy procurement season in Mohali will begin on September 16, 2025, with the Mandi Board notifying 15 purchase centres across the district. This year, procurement agencies are expected to buy around 2.01 lakh metric tonnes of paddy.
